| 10:00 | What is Field Archery? | A basic description of the objectives and procedures |
| 10:05 | Introduction and safety | You will find out about Whitemark Bowmen and the field archery association structure, and be given essential safety information. |
| 10:15 | Archery equipment | Archery is not just bows and arrows, there are other important accessories that you will be shown. |
| 10:20 | Styles | There is an enormous variety of bows available but in field archery they are grouped into styles that will be described and shown to you. |
| 10:25 | Rounds | You will find out about rounds and how the targets and scoring differ. |
| 10:30 | Getting ready | You will find out about right/left eye dominance and be fitted out with a suitable bow and accessories |
| 10:40 | Group basic instruction | In groups you will be shown how to stand, hold a bow, load an arrow, draw back the string, aim and release the shot. The instructor will remind you of the safety procedures and show you how and when to recover arrows. |
| 11:00 | Individual instruction | You will receive individual attention to ensure that your technique is correct and safe, and have time to practice and improve. |
| 11:30 | Round the course | This is your chance to see the full course and shoot a selection of the targets. You will also learn about the procedures and course etiquette. |
| til 2pm | You choose | Archery can be quite tiring but you might like to stay and do some more or try a different bow. We could also explain more about the sport and the EFAA incentives and awards. You might like to discuss membership or even sign up. |
